Hawker HK does not collect your personal information. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours for your data to be sent to.
This policy explains what the app does with information on your device, and the few cases where something leaves it. It describes the app as it actually behaves; if that changes, this page changes with it.
If you allow it, the app uses your location to show which licensed hawker pitches are nearest to you, how far away they are, and which direction to walk.
Your location is used entirely on your device and is never sent anywhere. It is not stored, not logged, not shared, and not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Nothing about where you are is recorded after you close the app.
You can refuse location access, or withdraw it later in iOS Settings. The app works without it — you simply see every pitch without distances, and the walking view is unavailable.
The app saves a small amount of information on your phone, using Apple's standard app storage. None of it is transmitted:
A profile picture you choose is resized on your device and kept there. It is never uploaded. Because the app redraws the image rather than copying the original file, the location and camera details that photos normally carry are discarded in the process.
Deleting the app removes all of it.
The map background is made of image tiles downloaded from CARTO, a mapping provider. Like any request for an image on the internet, this means CARTO can see your device's IP address and which map tiles were requested — which indicates roughly which part of the city is on your screen. It does not include your GPS position, which never leaves your device. CARTO's own terms are at carto.com/attributions.
The app hands the stall's location to that app and stops there. What happens next is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy, not this one.
These open your own email app with a message already written. Nothing is sent unless you press send. If you do, we receive whatever the message contains, including your email address, because that is how email works. It is used only to answer you and to check the stall, and it is not published in the app or given to anyone else.
The list of licensed pitches comes from the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department's published licence data, with coordinates from the Lands Department, both obtained through data.gov.hk. It is public government data and contains no information about you.
Some stalls carry extra details recorded during visits, such as opening hours and what is sold. Where a stallholder's name, photograph or telephone number appears, it is there because that person was asked in person and agreed to it. Anyone who has agreed can change their mind: write to the address below and it will be removed from the next update.
The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Because nothing about you is collected or stored off your device, there is no account to access, correct or delete. Information on your device is removed by deleting the app. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
If the app starts doing something this page does not describe, this page is updated first, and the date at the top changes.

Hawker HK 不會收集你的個人資料。應用程式沒有帳戶、沒有分析追蹤、沒有廣告，亦沒有我們的伺服器接收你的資料。
本政策說明應用程式如何處理你裝置上的資料，以及少數會離開裝置的情況。內容如實描述應用程式現時的運作方式；如有改變，本頁亦會同時更新。
如你允許，應用程式會使用你的位置，顯示最近的持牌小販攤位、距離，以及步行方向。
你的位置完全在裝置上使用，不會傳送到任何地方。我們不會儲存、記錄或分享，亦不會傳送給我們或任何第三方。關閉應用程式後，不會留下任何關於你身處何地的紀錄。
你可以拒絕位置權限，或日後在 iOS 設定中收回。沒有位置權限應用程式仍可使用，只是不會顯示距離，亦無法使用步行導航。
應用程式會使用 Apple 的標準儲存功能，在你的手機上保存少量資料，全部不會傳送出去：
你選擇的個人相片會在裝置上縮小並保存於裝置內，不會上載。由於應用程式是重新繪製圖像而非複製原檔，相片通常附帶的位置及相機資料會在過程中被去除。
刪除應用程式即會一併刪除以上所有資料。
地圖背景由地圖服務供應商 CARTO 提供的圖像組成。與網上任何圖像請求一樣，CARTO 可看見你裝置的 IP 位址及所請求的地圖範圍，即大概顯示了螢幕上是城市的哪一區。當中不包括你的 GPS 位置，該資料從不離開你的裝置。CARTO 的條款見 carto.com/attributions。
應用程式只會將攤位位置交給該應用程式，其後的處理受 Apple 或 Google 的私隱政策規管，而非本政策。
這些功能會開啟你自己的電郵應用程式，並預先填好內容。除非你按下傳送，否則不會寄出任何東西。若你傳送，我們會收到訊息內容及你的電郵地址（這是電郵的運作方式）。該資料只用於回覆你及核實攤檔，不會在應用程式中公開，亦不會提供予他人。
持牌攤位名單來自香港食物環境衞生署公開的小販牌照資料，座標來自地政總署，均透過 data.gov.hk 取得。這些是公開政府資料，不包含任何關於你的資訊。
部分攤檔載有實地探訪時記錄的額外資料，例如營業時間及售賣貨品。凡出現檔主姓名、相片或電話，均已事先當面徵詢並得到本人同意。已同意者可隨時改變主意：請電郵至下方地址，我們會在下次更新中移除。
本應用程式並非以兒童為對象，亦不會向任何人（包括兒童）收集資料。
由於我們不會在你的裝置以外收集或儲存任何關於你的資料，因此沒有帳戶可供查閱、更正或刪除。裝置上的資料可透過刪除應用程式移除。如你曾電郵我們並希望刪除該通訊，請告知，我們會照辦。
如應用程式的運作超出本頁所述，我們會先更新本頁，並更改頂部日期。
